some make the menu, some don’t. that’s the point.
what is first batch?
first batch is our community tasting series. throughout the year, we’ll invite you in to try what we’re working on, meet the people behind it and tell us what you really think.
every first batch is a little different, you’ll try things that haven’t made the menu yet, meet the team behind them and tell us what you loved, what you’d change and whether you’d come back for more. then we take it all back to the kitchen.

because the best feedback comes from the people who actually eat our buns. first batch helps us test ideas, make them better and bring you into the process along the way.
who can come?
everyone's welcome. all we ask is that you come hungry and tell us what you really think.

got a first batch token?
lucky you :) your token gets you one bun of your choice, on us, from our new autumn menu.
just bring your physical token into any buns from home store, hand it to the team when you order and pick your bun.
valid from 24th september through 31 october 2026.
the small print
each token can be redeemed for one bun from our autumn menu and is valid from the autumn menu launch (24 september until 31 October 2026). there is one redemption per token and the original physical token must be presented at the time of purchase. tokens will be collected by our team once redeemed and cannot be used again. tokens have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. lost, damaged or previously redeemed tokens cannot be replaced. redemption is subject to bun availability.
